At a very young age Jeffrey was already interested in technique and music, he was fooling around with his sisters' records and turntables. He started his own radio-station at the age of 12, aged 16 he played at a drive in show, organized hip-hop party's and was and is, totally addicted to music in all it's forms. In 1987 he discovered the very first acid music and instantly knew that this was going to be The Thing for him. The drive, the power, everything in house music was his thing. He even tried to play acid and house on some local parties and weddings but soon found out that organizing his own specific parties was the thing to do so in 1989 the first house party in Schagen was a fact. In 1990 he moved to Purmerend and soon became a party animal himself and only bought real deep techno and freaky ambient without having the ambitions to be a DJ or producer. Some time later in 1993 he rediscovered radio and started a radio show on ZFM107 in Zandvoort soon after together with Edwin Keur and they became close friends. In that same period Jeffrey also bought some serious studio equipment to start making his own tunes that led to a record deal at ID&T in 1996.
Because of his success with those records Da Goose was also asked to DJ. In just a matter of time he played at big venues, parties and clubs all over, Innercity, Mysteryland, Digital Overdose, Melkweg, Paradiso just to name but a few. Da Goose also became a well-respected remixer and did remixes for names like: Phuture 303, Da Hool, Rene et Gaston and The Horrorist. In 1998 it was time for a full-length album and Materialistik was a fact having raving reviews in magazines all over. Since then he did the Shockers-anthem, mixed a CD for A1 records, started of Upstruct records, Hi9 records (with Edwin Keur) and works for a lot of labels and uses various names to distribute his music all over the globe. From his first record until now Da Goose produced around 50 records on a lot of different Labels like 33/45, Pssst, Alien, alphabet city, Hi9, Shockers, Babe, Bassethound, Filet de Vinyl, A1, Upstruct and Subspace.
In 2000 Da Goose temporarily gave up his DJ career to focus on his productions and to find out what else was possible besides techno. He started doing new things with vocals, making disco, club, progressive and all styles he liked. After doing the shockers-anthem 2001 he made a comeback as a DJ at the mainstage of Shockers in the RAI, Amsterdam . At the beginning of 2002 Jeffrey decided it was time to leave ID&T and go his own way. Some leftover tracks where still released but since he left ID&T things started speeding up. He started of the Real People project with Edwin Keur and Fadoua taking care of the vocals, the Jeffed project on Pssst really hitted off. After signing at United Recordings he also is involved in the Lambda project that had a success with Live together and is working with Edwin on new releases. Da Goose also started a new sleazy label with Alexander Koning, makes music for several big labels and is involved in some quite successful other projects as well. From now on Da Goose is more and more focusing on his harder sounds as Peaky Pounder though some new Jeffed and Da Goose releases are still making it to the recordstores and you can still find him doing a funky DJ set as Da Goose every now and then.
